Terms of Reference for Pulse-Canola Feed Literature Database:
This database is a compilation of published technical papers on the use of peas, beans, lentils,
canola and chickpeas in swine, ruminant and poultry diets. It contains papers from around the world
found in scientific journals from 1980 to present. It is a comprehensive source of information
for livestock nutritionists, animal scientists, livestock producers and anyone with an interest
in the feeding value of Canadian peas, beans, lentils or canola. Funding for this project has
been from the Saskatchewan Canola Development Commission and
the Saskatchewan Pulse Growers
with help from the Alberta Pulse Growers.
Copies of the papers are available for only the cost of photocopying and shipping.
Additionally, the papers contained in this database have been summarized in a
document called "Research Summaries: Peas in Livestock Diets." Updated in September 2004 which
is available to all. If interested in either the papers or the summary, please follow
the link to the order form located at the end of each entry.
